How to connect

1. Open the install page

Log in to Claude, then go to https://claude.ai/directory/connectors/usafacts-connector.

2. Click “Install”

Follow any prompts to finish installing. You do not need any sort of account with USAFacts to use our Claude Connector.

3. Ask your first question

Start a new chat and include “use USAFacts” in your message when asking about US government data.

Do I need a Claude account?

Yes. You need a Claude account to install the connector — free or paid both work. On an enterprise plan, your ability to install the connector may be constrained by your organization’s permissions.

How do I make sure Claude is using the USAFacts connector?

Write “use USAFacts” in your question. That helps ensure Claude pulls from the USAFacts-supplied datasets rather than answering from memory or using regular web search.

Is the connector free?

Yes. USAFacts provides the connector for free. You may still need to pay for Claude depending on your own usage.
