This data reflects the number of young adults aged 25-34 living in the home of one or more parents, including those who pay rent. Children living in their parental home with a spouse or unmarried partner are not counted, nor are those living in the home of other adult relatives or non-relative caretakers.

There were 7.68 million young adults aged 25-34 living at home in 2021, a decrease of 4.2% or 344,000 young adults from 2020.
