Value of counterfeit imports seized

Value of counterfeit imports seized

US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) processes foreign imports and seizes products that infringe on US trademarks or copyrights. This statistic is the real value of counterfeit merchandise when it was last purchased before being seized, including revenue that went to duties, fees, and shipping charges, as well as profit. CBP stopped reporting this statistic in 2011. The agency has continued to report the manufacturer's suggested retail price of the genuine version of all seized counterfeit goods.
