The exercise rate for the US adult population comes from the Behavioral Risk Factors Surveillance System, a survey run by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The exercise rate is based on the number of adults who engage is some form of physical activity at least once per month.
There were 76.3% of adults who exercise in 2021, a decrease of 1.3% from 2020.
