Why does USAFacts use US government data?

This statistic shows the mean SAT mathematics score among high school seniors. Note that the SAT was fully redesigned in 2016, and scores from 2017 onward are based on the new test. Because of this, recent scores and historical scores are not directly comparable.
In 2020, the average Mathematics SAT score in the US was 523, a decrease of 0.94% or 5 points, from 2019.
