This reflects the number of investigations completed by either the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) or HUD-funded state and local agencies due to complaints filed under the Fair Housing Act.
There were 5,998 housing discrimination complaints filed under the Fair Housing Act in the US in 2020, a decrease of 22.4% or 1,731 complaints from 2019.
