  • How many firearms are caught by TSA? (Publication date: 9/8/22): An earlier version of this article incorrectly stated whether passengers with concealed permits could carry firearms in airplane cabins. (Article corrected and correction published on 10/6/22)
  • In 2020, the number of unionized workers dropped, while the share of union members increased (Publication date: 1/29/21): An earlier version of this article included a map where one of the states was not shaded correctly as a right-to-work state. Also, the article showed incorrect union membership rates for North Carolina and Utah. (Article and map corrected. Correction published on 10/6/22)
  • How are votes counted? (Publication date: 9/14/22): An earlier version of this article incorrectly stated the number of states that allow for mail-in ballots to be counted prior to Election Day. (Article corrected and correction published on 10/12/22)
  • What is the "tampon tax"? (Publication date: 7/27/22) An earlier version of this article incorrectly stated the number of states exempting menstrual products from sales tax. The error also appeared on one of the maps in the article. (Article and map corrected. Correction published on 10/18/22)
  • 30+ states have made these voting changes since the 2020 election (Publication date: 8/12/21) An earlier version of this article included a map where the states extending the ballot curing deadline and the states shortening the ballot curing deadline were reversed.   • Thanksgiving dinner by the numbers (Publication date: 11/17/22) An earlier version of this article incorrectly used the wrong year for turkey production statistics in the state map and incorrectly used the British conversion for hundredweight for potato statistics.   • Which cities have the highest or lowest crime rates? (Publication date: 11/16/22) An earlier version of this article incorrectly identified the cities with the highest and lowest property crime rates. In addition, this article showed violent crime rate data from the first two quarters of 2021 without clarifying that the data shown was for a partial year.
