These fundraising totals represent the amount generated for a candidate's primary campaign for the 2025–2026 election cycle. It includes all candidates who have raised money, including those who have since been eliminated from races via primaries or caucuses, or have withdrawn their candidacy.
Candidate campaign fundraising is reported separately from fundraising by political parties (like the DNC and RNC) and political action committees (PACs); each entity files its own totals with the FEC. Parties and PACs can contribute to candidates (within limits), and those contributions do count toward a candidate's total receipts. But parties and PACs also raise significant funds for their own purposes, independent of any candidate, so their overall fundraising totals are not the same as candidate fundraising totals.

Why are there some states where no money has been raised? Not every state has a Senate election in 2026. Senators serve six-year terms and are divided into three election classes (Class I, Class II, and Class III), with staggered elections. That way, about one-third of Senate seats are up for election every two years. Each state's two senators belong to different classes, so no state has more than one regularly scheduled Senate election in the same year.

Maryland's 6th Congressional District is the highest fund-raising House race this midterm so far, with candidates collecting a combined $39.2 million. Most of that fundraising came from challenger Democrat David Trone ($26.2 million) and incumbent Democrat April McClain Delaney ($12.3 million).
Trone represented Maryland's 6th district in the House from 2019 to 2025 and did not seek re-election for his seat in 2024. Delaney beat Trone in the June 2026 Maryland Democratic primary.
